Can AMP own summer with a monthlong subathon? IDK, but they got T-Pain to ride in on a white horse

It’s midday, summer, in the sweltering Texas desert heat. The six members of AMP are stranded on the side of the road, starving, and Kai Cenat, in a fit of delirious rage, just dumped the last of their water into the sand. Things are looking pretty hopeless.

But then…on the horizon…a gleaming white horse appears.

And on that horse?

Their knight in shining cowboy hat: T-Pain.

“You know, I got a friend up the road,” he says. That friend happens to have a “big-ass crib” where AMP “can stream for a whole month.”

T-Pain hitches the gang’s RV to a fleet of white horses, and together they head off to the promised land.

As you’ve probably guessed, AMP was not in fact in mortal danger. Instead, the two-and-a-half-minute video was an intricate announcement, revealing that the creator group–Cenat, Fanum, Duke Dennis, Agent 00, ImDavisss, and Chrisnxtdoor–was about to launch a surprise monthlong subathon on Twitch.

That subathon kicked off today at 3 p.m. EST, and will continue until July 31. Unlike many subathons these days, it won’t be round-the-clock; AMP will stream for just (‘just’) 12 hours each day.

The goal, of course, is to prompt a mass number of channel subscriptions. Given Cenat’s history of breaking records with his own action-packed subathons, we’re expecting AMP might bring in a record of its own–or, at the least, tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in new subs. Either way, the subathon will be a reunion for AMP, which has slowed down its group content production in recent months as members focus on individual projects.

AMP hasn’t said what it’s got planned for subathon, but based on them nabbing a super celeb like T-Pain for the trailer, we anticipate big things.
