This week’s Global Sub Top 50 chart shows a rare downturn for Indian channels in the ranking. None of the top ten most-subscribed channels of the week hail from the world’s most populous nation, and you have to get all the way to #28 (Dangal TV Channel) before you encounter an Indian chart entrant.

In place of those hubs, American creators are thriving. Chart-topper MrBeast, who got three million new subscribers during the last week of June, is one of 13 U.S.-based channels represented in the ranking. Meanwhile, a tournament hosted in the U.S. is shipping some YouTube views to international waters.
Juventus won the FIFA Club World Cup (on YouTube)
FIFA’s decision to expand its annual Club World Cup into a 32-team event featuring the world’s soccer titans was a calculated gamble. The move required tired clubs to dig deeper into their benches, and attendance for the matches has been subpar overall.
But in one key way, the new version of the Club World Cup is a massive win. The pre-tournament hype extended onto YouTube, where viewership of soccer-related footage is as big as ever. Now, one of the participating clubs is soaring ahead of the competition in terms of YouTube viewership.
I’m talking about Juventus FC, which is arguably Italy’s most successful club on both the men’s and women’s sides of the football scene. Juve increased its YouTube output around the start of the Club World Cup, and the results have been significant. After adding 800,000 new subscribers in a single week, the official Juventus YouTube channel moved up to ninth place in our Global Sub Top 50.
It’s hard to imagine any Club World Cup participant being bigger online than Lionel Messi‘s Inter Miami FC, but Juve has its own secret weapon: The other soccer GOAT, Cristiano Ronaldo, used to wear Juve’s black-and-white striped jerseys. Even though he has since moved on, Shorts clips featuring his exploits are still racking up massive viewership on the Juve YouTube hub.
Juve’s run to the top of the Global Sub Top 50 shows just how big of a deal Ronaldo is. Even when he represents his former clubs, he pushes soccer content past other sports on YouTube.
It was just a few weeks ago that we were celebrating Jesser and other basketball creators on YouTube, but soccer is now the sport that’s squarely in the public eye. Longtime chart-toppers like Celine Dept are out of the Top 50, but other football fanatics are in. John Nellis, an Irish creator who uploads a variety of footballing content on his channel, just added 370,000 new subscribers in a week. That put him in 30th place in our chart, and he also got more weekly views than what he picked up at any previous point in 2025.
Unfortunately for Juventus, digital engagement doesn’t guarantee on-field success. After making it out of the Club World Cup group stage, Juve is now up against another former Ronaldo employer — the legendary Real Madrid — in the knockout stage. The Italian giants will need all those YouTube subscribers to come out to the stadium in full voice if their voyage to the Club World Cup trophy is going to continue.
