Welcome to our rundown of the most-watched branded YouTube videos of the week.
We’re publishing this snippet of a larger Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report in order to analyze sponsorship trends in the creator economy. Any video launched in tandem with an official brand partner is eligible for the ranking.
And – as the name up above would imply – all the data comes from Gospel Stats. If you’re interested in learning more about Gospel – and which brands are sponsoring what creators on YouTube – click here.

We’re smack dab between holidays right now. We just came off the the inaugural (and possibly only) Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Fight Day, and are gearing up for Thanksgiving. Luckily our latest Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report has content for both holidays and more, including a SWAT-level alarm clock, some 420 blazin’, and a new wreck from Mat Armstrong.
Check it all out right here:
#1 World’s Most Dangerous Alarm Clock
Channel: Tyler Blanchard
Brand: SIREN Blasters
Views: 18,482,200
Hi! Billy Mays here! Do YOU have trouble getting out of bed in the morning? Do YOU wish there was another way to wake up? Now there is! OK, bit over. But seriously, notice we said another way to wake up, not a better or easier way to wake up. Because the hell-device that Tyler Blanchard has devised is neither better nor easier…but it is effective. He took nine guns from Nerf competitor (and video sponsor) SIREN Blasters and rigged them around a bed, all connected via circuit board to an alarm clock. Once the designated wake-up time hits, all nine guns start firing. It doesn’t look great! We wouldn’t like to experience it! But we admit that it would, in fact, get us out of bed. With some bruises.
#2 Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson LIVESTREAM Watch Party From Dallas With Papa Plem!! The W.A.D.E. Concept
Channel: The W.A.D.E. Concept
Brand: Manscaped
Views: 9,482,178
Tens of millions of people watched (or tried to watch) Jake Paul beat up Mike Tyson, but very few of them got the kind of seats Wade Plemons scored. The sports/entertainment YouTuber managed to sit ringside during the entire Netflix-aired event, and brought his father along to cohost a seven-and-a-half-hour livestream, during which they peaked at over 100,000 viewers and got to interview Shaq. According to commenters on the livestream, Plemons and his dad closed fight night with more than 6 million views on the stream, and now, a little over a week later, it’s at 9.4 million views. That’s a cool time for the two of them, and a lot of eyeballs for their sponsor Manscaped, which also paid for nearly 40 other videos this week.
#3 We Have To Talk About Weed
Channel: Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell
Brand: Odoo
Views: 8,700,780
Over the last few years, weed has been legalized in about half of U.S. states, and decriminalized in even more than that. We know marijuana doesn’t have effects as harmful as things like alcohol and tobacco–but does that mean it has no negative effects? That’s what Kurzgesagt dives into in his latest video about stuff people inhale for fun. It’s been somewhat of a theme for him lately: last week, he posted a video on vaping, calling it “too good to be true.” Kurzgesagt regularly pops up on our Weekly Brand Reports, and usually works with science- and education-oriented brands. But, for this video, he teamed up with Odoo, an open source app suite aimed at businesspeople. His video is one of five Odoo paid for this week; it also sponsored #13, #40, #490, and #684.
#4 I BOUGHT A WRECKED PORSCHE 911 GT3RS THAT WENT SWIMMING
Channel: Mat Armstrong
Brand: carVertical
Views: 4,459,931
Ah, Mat Armstrong and his never-ending supply of totaled vehicles. Like Kurzgesagt, he makes regular appearances on our Weekly Brand Reports, fixing up ultraluxury cars that have (to put it lightly) seen better days. His videos are both in-depth enough for car nuts to enjoy, and explanatory enough that even folks who aren’t mechanically inclined can enjoy his team’s work. And it’s a lot of work. He and his mechanics are often replacing major chunks of wrecked cars in an effort to return them to their original (expensive) glory. For this video, where he restores a Porsche 911 GT3RS, he worked with frequent sponsor carVertical, which–appropriately–is a service that tells prospective vehicle buyers whether that beauty they’ve got their eye on has been in a wreck.
BONUS #1,030 I Made a Vegan Thanksgiving Turkey
Channel: Andrew Lowe
Brand: Rocket Money
Views: 91,106
Thanksgiving is almost here, and if you’re (mostly) vegetarian like funny man Andrew Lowe, you might be wondering if there are veggie-friendly replacements for holiday classics. Good news: there are! Bad news: they’re not always the greatest replacements. In this video, Lowe tries making a “turkey” from seitan, which is a wheat gluten substance that, when treated correctly, can come out with a texture and taste pretty darn close to oven-roasted turkey. We’ll spoil you a little by saying Lowe’s ultimate review of his effort was that it “took a long time, and it’s just okay.” Womp womp. But hey–it’s the thought and holiday spirit that counts. (Also, if you’re looking for a recipe we’ve tried and found tasty, there’s TheeBurgerDude‘s seitan turkey. Better luck next time, Lowe!)
…and there’s a lot more data where that came from. If you’re interested in learning more about Gospel – and which brands are sponsoring what creators on YouTube – click here.
