There’s a new #1 in the Global Top 50. During the first full week of March, a channel inspired by a specific Roblox creation continued to gain steam.

Overall, the top channels mostly fall into two categories: Kid-friendly hubs and Indian entertainment destinations.
Chart Toppers
Rainbow Friends Fans is making its maiden appearance at #1 in the Global Top 50. The fastest-growing channel of 2024 (thus far) takes its name from a Roblox-created game that is popular among today’s youth. The appropriately colorful cast of Rainbow Friends doesn’t always show up in this channel’s Shorts, but Rainbow Friends Fans does focus on the sort of wacky humor that Gen Alpha enjoys so much. This week’s #1 channel finished with 703.2 million weekly views at the conclusion of our latest seven-day measurement period.
Last week’s #1 has fallen back to the spot it has occupied more often than any other channel since the start of the 2024 calendar year. T-Series was the most-watched YouTube channel in the world during February, even though it only achieved a single #1 finish over that period. The Indian record label returned to the top at the start of March, but it dropped back to #2 after losing 3% of its traffic week-over-week. That dip left T-Series with 672.1 million weekly views. The YouTube leader in lifetime views should surpass 250 billion total hits before the end of the month.
MrBeast moved up ten spots to reach third place in the Global Top 50. The most popular individual creator on YouTube, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, picked up 545.3 million weekly views on his primary channel during the first full week of March. That total represents a 48% week-over-week bump for the North Carolina-based star. If he repeats that performance next week, he might rise high enough to reach #1 — and he’ll definitely push past 45 billion lifetime views. He is about 17 million subscribers behind T-Series, with 244 million of them.
The most-watched family channel among India’s YouTube Shorts community sits in fourth place in the latest Global Top 50. Anaya Kandhal and her family have become familiar faces near the top of our charts thanks to their consistent uploads and simple, age-appropriate themes. The Kandhals increased their short-form viewership by 48% week-over-week to move up one spot in our worldwide ranking. The Indian family’s traffic topped out at 499.1 million weekly views.
ISSEI rounds out this week’s global top five. The Japanese creator earned his highest-ever finish in our charts by picking up 490.5 million weekly views, most of which came on YouTube Shorts.
Top Gainers
Rainbow Friends Fans may be taking the headlines in this week’s Global Top 50, but another channel known for its colorful, goofy characters has also reached an all-time high ranking. Andreas Eskander made his first appearance in our ranking during a week when he increased his YouTube traffic by nearly 50%.
Eskander himself appears only occasionally in his most viral short-formto uploads. The Canadian creator — who runs one of the three channels that are flying the maple leaf flag in this week’s Global Top 50 — gets his views by putting popular animated characters into real-world situations. He has hung out with Huggy Wuggy and other monsters from the Poppy Playtime franchise and contributed to the skibidi toilet lore.
His most-watched Shorts clips, however, relate to The Amazing Digital Circus, a show created by the animator Gooseworx. Eskander has pulled in more than 68 million views with a Short that shows two Digital Circus stars making out in the middle of a classroom. Whatever works, I guess!
Short-form videos populated by Gen Alpha touchstones are definitely working for Eskander. He picked up 262.5 million weekly views during the first full week of March, which put him in 33rd place in the Global Top 50. One week after crossing three billion lifetime YouTube views, he broke into the Top 50 with a 46% week-over-week bump.
I won’t pretend to fully understand the forces that drive so much traffic to Eskander’s channel. His long-form content makes a bit more sense: He has produced some music videos for his YouTube channel.
