Channels that operate primarily on YouTube Shorts occupy 37 of the 50 spots in this week’s U.S. Top 50 chart. Five of the 13 outliers, however, are ranked in the top ten.
Last week’s #1 finisher returned to the front of the U.S. Top 50, but three other channels kept things close by getting at least 400 million YouTube views over seven days.

Chart Toppers
MaviGadget lost the #1 spot in the Global Top 50 after a two-week stay, but in the U.S. version of our weekly chart, this short-form sensation is still the channel to beat. MaviGadget’s videos focus on technical innovations, which are a favorite topic of its 24 million subscribers. One week after surpassing 20 billion lifetime views on YouTube, MaviGadget led the U.S. Top 50 for the third straight week. It added 634.5 million weekly views to get itself started on the path to 30 billion. It could reach its next round-number viewership milestone by the end of the year.
Rainbow Friends Fans is the fastest-rising channel in the U.S. Top 50. The Roblox-inspired channel shares (part of) its name with a popular title developed through the game creation platform. With videos that sometimes relate to Rainbow Friends and sometimes offer something completely different, Rainbow Friends Fans got 503.1 million weekly views and a second-place finish in the U.S. Top 50. That weekly sum is about 20% of the short-form hub’s lifetime viewership on YouTube.
Third place in the U.S. Top 50 belongs to Jason Derulo. If you just read that sentence by singing Derulo’s name, then you’re familiar with his signature vocal tag, which helps explain his YouTube Shorts success. The singer-songwriter’s career has always had a memetic quality to it, and he has taken that to the next level on Shorts. By reuploading popular videos from across the short-form universe and adding his personality to them, Derulo has become one of the biggest Shorts creators in the U.S. He earned his #3 ranking after collecting 415.4 million weekly views.
Vlad and Niki was the runner-up in last week’s U.S. Top 50, but this time out, the globetrotting family vlog has fallen back to fourth place. Vlad and Niki lost 18% of its traffic week-over-week but still ranked in the top five after claiming 407 million weekly views. The kidfluencer hub’s achievements are more impressive when put in the proper context. It doesn’t always keep pace with the most-watched Shorts channels, but within YouTube’s long-form community, no channels earned more weekly views than Vlad and Niki during the first week of March.
MrBeast rounds out this week’s U.S. top five. The most popular individual creator in the United States continued to entertain his massive subscriber base and pulled in 368.5 million weekly views in the process.
Top Gainers
Fitness content is becoming one of the biggest categories on YouTube Shorts, and FitFix is giving people what they want. The short-form has added a fun twist to the tough work of staying in shape. Its vast Shorts library includes videos that combine athletic feats with other pursuits.
As revealed in a banner on its channel homepage, FitFix covers a beat that includes “fitness, sports, and people.” That broad scope requires FitFix’s narration to cover a lot of ground. Sometimes, the channel’s disembodied voice must tell the tale of a Herculean high schooler or a gym rat’s legendary cheat day. In other videos, the subject matter is as simple as a treadmill user who walks behind a creator while she’s trying to film a video.
There’s one refreshing twist that separates FitFix from many of the other content aggregators on YouTube Shorts: This hub is better about providing attribution. Its most-watched clip of all time comes from a creator named Kristian Langren, who documented a cruel way to release a bungee jumper.
The rise of fitness content on Shorts has done wonders for FitFix’s viewership. The short-form clip show has become a regular in our U.S. Top 50. During the first week of March, it moved up to 29th place after counting 132.9 million weekly views. That total was good for a 67% week-over-week traffic increase and a 40-spot jump in our chart.
FitFix, which is about to reach three million subscribers on YouTube, still has plenty of room for growth. It will look to stay in shape as springtime weather brings people back to the activities it depicts in its videos.
