The #1 channel in the chart didn’t quite live up to the standard it set a week ago, but it still claimed enough traffic to hold onto its spot.
Chart Toppers
KIMPRO is finishing September with a series of strong performances in our Top 50 charts. The short-form channel claimed its second straight #1 finish after it added 734.1 million weekly views. That impressive total is actually a significant step down for the Korean hub; seven days ago, it nearly became the first YouTube Shorts channel to register one billion views in a single week. Not to be outdone, KIMPRO is still reaching major milestones. It now reaches 25 million subscribers on its primary YouTube home.
T-Series delivered its usual top-two finish in the Global Top 50. The Indian record label routinely dazzles its 250 million subscribers with wave after wave of music videos and movie clips. By offering the best in South Asian entertainment, T-Series picked up 590.9 million weekly views during the last full week of September. That was good enough for a second runner-up finish in a row. Long story short: Business is still booming for the most-watched YouTube channel of all time.
MrBeast is the highest-ranking U.S.-based channel in the Global Top 50 and the #3 channel overall. The official home of North Carolina-based creator Jimmy Donaldson moved up one spot despite experiencing a 9% week-over-week traffic dip. Even with that decrease, MrBeast still pulled in 491.2 million weekly views. Donaldson also has the most subscribers among all the individual creators who cracked the Global Top 50 this week.
ZAMZAM ELECTRONICS TRADING has an all-caps name, a devoted following, and a high ranking in the Global Top 50. The short-form channel — which is run by two brothers based in the United Arab Emirates — picked up 488.5 million weekly views. That was good enough to secure a fourth-place finish for ZAMZAM, which is officially the hottest electronics store in Dubai.
LeoNata Family rounds out this week’s global top five. The channel known for its family-friendly short-form videos pulled in 472.2 million weekly views.
Top Gainers
If you want to try out viral short-form dance crazes, you don’t need to attend the most prestigious ballet school in the world, but it certainly helps. After dancing her way through Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Yana Chirkina has become one of Russia’s top creators on YouTube Shorts.
13-year-old Chirkina has already developed an impressive pedigree. She picked up a sizable Instagram following by displaying acrobatics and other high-energy dance skills. In 2023, her channel — like many others — got a boost from the release of the Barbie movie. Chirkina now shows off her flexibility and artistry for more than six million followers on YouTube.
It may be surprising to learn that Chirkina’s most-watched YouTube Shorts videos include very few dance routines. Rather than sharing performances, Chirkina operates her channel like a family vlog: She hangs out with her flexible family, collabs with other Russian creators, and finds time to face her mom in challenges that require both Chirkinas to contort their bodies.
By paying attention to the rise of family-oriented content on YouTube Shorts, Yana Chirkina has become one of the format’s top draws. During the last full week of September, she picked up 225 million weekly views, which was good for an 11% increase over her previous seven-day total. Thanks to that boost, Chirkina broke into the Top 50 and stuck the landing in 44th place. She now reaches more than six million YouTube subscribers in all.
Let Chirkina’s success be a lesson to all of us. Whether you’re at the Bolshoi Academy or on Shorts, it helps to be flexible.
