Kajabi, Hello Group court creator VIPs who want to launch “digital knowledge products”

Kajabi is giving its high-profile users some VIP treatment. At VidCon, Kajabi President Sean Kim announced a partnership with The Hello Group that will spawn a VIP Program catered to educationally-minded creators.

The partnership will provide new revenue opportunities for creators who want to develop “digital knowledge products.” Those projects, such as courses, podcasts, memberships, and communities, play a key role in Kajabi’s business model. By helping its users run marketing campaigns, connect with fans, and design their own courses, Kajabi has delivered more than $5 billion in creator payouts since its launch more than a decade ago. The majority of those payouts have occurred over the past three years.

With help from The Hello Group, Kajabi is offering guidance and mentorship to busy creators who want to get into the digital course market. VIPs who enroll in Kajabi’s new program will have production and marketing costs covered for the knowledge products they create.

Kajabi has announced that the first member of its VIP Program will be Alawn, a DJ whose credits include K-pop tracks like NCT 127’s ‘Punch‘. Alawn will develop a masterclass in which he teaches students how to produce their own K-pop hits.

“I’ve always wanted to build a course that shares some of my best-kept secrets, techniques, and production tricks that have been instrumental to my success as a songwriter and producer. But unfortunately, I’ve never had the bandwidth to bring it to life,” Alawn said in a statement. “With the VIP program, The Hello Group and Kajabi are literally handling everything from helping me narrow down my script, to shooting and producing my course videos, to designing, building, and ultimately marketing my website.”

The Hello Group will contribute to the partnership by offering support and resources during the course creation process. The international entertainment company will offer guidance through its talent wing — which reps creators like Azzyland and Matt Steffanina — and its original content division Hello Pictures. Previously, Hello Pictures made inroads with top-tier creators by teaming up with BBTV for a programming slate.

The homepage for the VIP Program can be found on the Kajabi website. In a press release, the course-building company said it hopes to recruit “members who are leaders in their fields” for its new initiative. For anyone who fits that bill, applications are now open.
