Reddit taps ex-Twitter exec to “help content partners connect with their fan communities”

Former Twitter and Viacom exec Sarah Rosen has joined Reddit, where she’ll be “helping content partners connect with their fan communities in a deeper way,” she says.

Rosen joined Twitter in 2014, and most recently was Senior Director and Head of U.S. Content Partnerships. She left the company in November 2022, shortly after Elon Musk’s takeover.

Prior to working at Twitter, Rosen was Senior Director of Partner Management & Program Development at Viacom, and prior to that, she was Manager of Strategic Marketing for the NBA. She also worked at 20th Century Fox.

At Reddit, Rosen will oversee the content partnerships team that handles media, sports, gaming, and entertainment verticals, Variety reports. Reddit currently has partnerships with a number of major pop culture producers, including Netflix (specifically for Stranger Things), Lionsgate (for John Wick 4), HBO (The House of the Dragon), and Amazon Prime Video (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power). It also has deals with the NFL (for the Super Bowl) and the Washington Post.

“The communities that make up Reddit span every imaginable topic, bring people around the world together and drive culture and action,” Rosen said in a statement. “I am looking forward to helping content partners connect with their fan communities in a deeper way and further fuel the incredible conversations and connections happening on Reddit every single day.”

Rosen will be based out of Reddit’s New York City office.
