Two members of that category just made their first appearances in our global top five. Read on to learn who else made waves in our weekly ranking of worldwide YouTube viewership.
Chart Toppers
Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes is on top of the Global Top 50 for the third week in a row. The U.S.-based destination known for its animated music videos held onto its leading position after adding 777.7 million weekly views. That proved to be a lucky number for Cocomelon, which has now received more than 152 billion lifetime views on its primary YouTube channel. If the kid-friendly channel gets lucky sevens again next week, it could finish February as this chart’s #1.
T-Series continues to lurk just behind Cocomelon in the Global Top 50. The Indian record label earned its third-straight runner-up finish despite collecting 734.1 million weekly views. T-Series continues to lead all charting channels in terms of subscriber count and lifetime viewership, so it is still a force to be reckoned with — even if it continues to land outside the #1 spot.
Third place in the Global Top 50 goes to CRAZY GREAPA. The Korean channel, which sits at its highest-ever position, is the top-ranked Shorts channel in this week’s chart. By sharing stories about so-called “sigma girls” — i.e. independent women — CRAZY GREAPA managed to get 560.4 million weekly views. That was good for a 51% week-over-week viewership increase.
Another Shorts channel rode its own wave to reach the #4 spot in the Global Top 50. Mehrob Music came from Russia with love to snag 491.2 million weekly views, moving up 35 chart positions in the process. Despite its name, Mehrob’s top videos are not so tuneful. Its most-watched clip involves…punching frozen birds? How very Russian.
SET India rounds out this week’s global top five. The Sony-owned, South Asian hub, which rarely finds itself below third place in this chart, fell two spots despite winding up with 449 million weekly views.

How will short-form video affect the future of street art? Oupa Art is providing a partial answer to this question.
The French channel has become the flavor of the week in the vertical video world. Seven days ago, Oupa was a three-year-old channel with about 600 million lifetime views. Thanks to YouTube Shorts, the street art hub needed only a week to add about 30% more views to its lifetime tally. By picking up 287.5 million weekly views, Oupa moved up 21st place in the Global Top 50.
Oupa’s designs are all over the up-and-coming channel, but its faceless narrator also likes to highlight other street artists. In his most-watched videos, he hands his spray can to his friends, who are prompted to paint the images based Oupa draws on their backs. It’s a cool idea, though I’m not sure why Oupa’s most-watched video — with 214 million views — features an eyeless Jigglypuff.

The video cuts off before the full image can be revealed, but I guess that represents the impermanence of graffiti or something like that. Will Oupa Art’s success be as ephemeral as his chosen medium? We’ll find out over the coming weeks.
