Viral Nation’s going 360 with new creator representation execs

Content creator-focused marketing and tech company Viral Nation has brought in three new executives to expand its talent representation division.

Viral Nation was founded as an influencer marketing company in 2014, and now has several divisions: core entity VN Marketing; technology arm VN Tech; VN Talent, its talent agency arm; and VN Sports, its athlete-specific talent agency division.

It raised its first round of funding in April 2022—a $250 million (Canadian; about $198 million U.S.) injection from Todd Boehly‘s Eldridge Industries and Maverix Private Equity.

New hires include Damian Skoczylas as VP of talent, Amanda Solomon as director of talent partnerships, and Patrick Currah as director of Viral Nation’s new Talent Ventures department, which is a push into a “360-degree monetization approach [that] spans content creation and optimization, brand partnerships, new talent ventures, dedicated marketing, original programming, and PR and concierge support,” Viral Nation says.

Skoczylas comes to Viral Nation from The ICON Agency, where he was general manager. He also held executive roles at Studio71, Fullscreen, AwesomenessTV, and Bottle Rocket Management. In his new position, he’ll “focus on deepening Viral Nation Talent’s representation of top-tier talent,” Viral Nation says.

Solomon, meanwhile, has held executive roles at Epic Games, Samsung, Gucci, and OnePlus, working on brand integration and talent partnerships.

Currah has 20 years of experience in retail and entertainment, and most recently was director of digital and growth at clothing company Kit & Ace. He’ll help “build out Viral Nation Talent’s marketing services across thought leadership, hospitality services, and dedicated PR for top talent,” the company says.

“We’ve handpicked an exceptional group of leaders with impressive careers in the creator space to drive key business units within Viral Nation Talent,” Jonathan Chanti, president of VN Talent and chief growth officer of Viral Nation Group, said in a statement. “This team is essential as Viral Nation Talent moves out of the traditional talent representation space to offer a complete 360-degree monetization engine, so our talent has the best experts and resources at their disposal to build their own empires.”

Viral Nation is based in Toronto.
