One of the internet’s top home chefs is joining WME’s roster.
CookingWithLynja, aka “cooking grandma” Lynn Davis, has signed with the agency for brand development and to “build out her business in additional areas, starting with non-scripted, digital, brand partnerships, books, and philanthropic opportunities,” WME tells Tubefilter.
Davis, a cancer survivor whose battle with the disease left her with a distinctive voice she likens to Marge Simpson’s, originally started posting videos so her son Tim could improve his videography skills during COVID quarantines.
Now, her meme-laden culinary adventures go out to an audience of more than 12 million followers on TikTok, and nearly 4 million subscribers on YouTube.
Collectively, her
videos have driven more than 3 billion views to date, WME says. (She’s also got two Guinness world records: one for the world’s largest chicken nugget, which weight 46 pounds, and one for the world’s largest cake pop, which weight 97 pounds.)“I am so excited to start this new chapter with WME and see what we can cook up together,” Davis tells Tubefilter. “I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish in the future!”
In addition to brand- and business-building, Davis hopes to start using her reach to push into philanthropy by partnering with charities and nonprofits.
She’ll continue to be represented by Klein Moynihan Turco LLP.
