Wrestling fans should get ready to see a lot more of Logan Paul on the WWE circuit.
The swaggering influencer, who has parlayed his success on platforms like YouTube and Vine into a broader media career, has signed a contract with the world’s most prominent wrestling organization. According to combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, Paul’s deal with the WWE is a multi-year agreement that will see the 27-year-old compete at multiple events per year.
Paul celebrated the singing of his contract by posting about it on Twitter. He shared a picture in which he is posing with wrestling icon Triple H, WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon, and a bottle of Prime, the sports drink he launched alongside fellow creator (and former boxing opponent) KSI.

Though he wasn’t an official WWE personality before he inked his name on that piece of paper, Paul has been signaling his ambitions in the wrestling world for some time. After fighting in multiple high-profile boxing matches, including a contentious bout against superstar Floyd Mayweather, the older Paul brother has traded in his gloves for a more elaborate get-up. He made a big impression at Wrestlemania 38 earlier this year after walking into the ring with a rare Pokemon card hanging from his neck. He then teamed up with fellow Ohio native The Miz to take down Rey Mysterio and his son.
At the end of that event, The Miz double-crossed Paul, and the creator has been hyping up a potential rematch ever since. “I did not sign this contract to team up with The Miz,” he said in a recent video. “I signed this contract so I could beat The Miz’s ass at SummerSlam.”
SummerSlam, which is typically one of the biggest event’s on the WWE calendar, will take place this year at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on July 30. Helwani noted that Paul is likely to have his first “big appearance” at the WWE’s midsummer clash, but he could appear on TV before then.
As the news of Paul’s deal has echoed across the internet, some wrestling fans have reacted negatively. The Paul brothers may have as many enemies as friends, but that’s what will make Logan a fantastic wrestling heel. He seems ready to play the role of the villain — at least for now. And if his WWE career doesn’t go the way he expects, he can take solace in knowing that he’s probably going to sell a lot of Prime energy drinks before his time in the ring runs out.
