As the calendar turns over into June, a kid-friendly channel is continuing to score more weekly views than any other hub based in the U.S. Read on to learn more about this eight-year-old Floridian juggernaut.
Like Nastya has fallen out of the top spot in our Global Top 50, but the family vlog still holds the premier position in our American ranking. The channel occupied by its titular child star is chock-full of playthings, but Nastya isn’t toying around. In our latest count, her primary channel raked in another 560.9 million weekly views, which gave her a lead of 100 million views in our U.S. Top 50.
Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes, which has spent more time as the U.S. #1 than any other channel, is second in our star-spangled ranking this week. The California-based producer of all-ages animations expanded its family-friendly empire by adding 460.4 million weekly views. Though Cocomelon still lags behind Like Nastya in terms of weekly views, its 136 million subscribers give it the largest audience among all U.S.-based channels.
The biggest traffic uptick in our U.S. top five belonged to Kids Diana Show, which returned to the upper echelon of our American ranking after placing sixth a week ago. The family vlog was able to move up to third thanks to its 320.3 million weekly views and a 12% week-over-week viewership bump. Look for Diana and co. to keep trending up; their channel is one of the few that has reached the #1 spot in the U.S. Top 50.
Another former U.S. #1, LankyBox, finished in fourth place in the chart this week. With 299 million weekly views, the channel — home to creators Justin and Adam — slightly increased its viewership week-over-week. That pushed it up one spot and pushed its overall subscriber count above 18.1 million.
Though LankyBox post some YouTube Shorts content, the highest-ranking channel that communicates predominantly through micro-videos is LeoNata Family. The home of the titular fivesome scooped up 289.6 million weekly views during the week that was.
Speaking of YouTube Shorts, brace yourself: Devin Caherly is coming.
If you’re familiar with Caherly, it’s probably because you’ve seen his content on TikTok, where he has about 7.6 million followers. He attracted much of that crowd during his drawn-out romantic saga with Tati Mitchell, which featured high stakes and POV videos driven by ridiculous situations.
Caherly is on YouTube now, and his most-watched Shorts are solo affairs, but that doesn’t mean he’s switched up his style too much. He’s still relying on strange premises built on idealistic romantic feelings. Even his more platonic content still ratchets the emotion and drama up to eleven. I don’t know if there are any actual teens who will disappear after they speak nine words, but that doesn’t stop Caherly from playing out the ridiculous situation.
Caherly isn’t just porting his style over from TikTok. He’s bringing his big viewership to YouTube Shorts, too. Over seven days, his YouTube hub secured 88.3 million weekly views, which allowed him to move from 89th place in the U.S. up to 37th. Since he only joined YouTube last year, his lifetime totals aren’t as impressive, but they’re growing as well. He now has more than two billion lifetime views and reaches more than 2.1 million subscribers.
He’ll keep trending up unless he accidentally says his ninth word and disappears.
