That’s right — YouTube’s #1 channel continues to dominate the field. It was one of 33 non-Shorts channels included in our latest ranking of the video platform’s most-watched hubs.
Chart Toppers
During the week of April 10, T-Series ruled our Global Top 50.
The Indian record label has set plenty of records of its own, and before long, it will be the only YouTube channel to ever reach 200 billion views. For now, the company can celebrate 625.1 million weekly views, which was the highest total among all channels during the second week of April. Even though T-Series lost 14% of its viewership week-over-week, no one else can catch it.
The channel that is closest to matching T-Series’ blistering pace is Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes. The U.S.-based channel is back in the #2 spot in the Global Top 50 thanks to a 7% week-over-week viewership increase. Its 545.7 million weekly views were enough to bring its lifetime total over 126 billion while moving up one spot in the chart.
Sony SAB is another channel that has managed to increase its position since our last update. The Indian channel, which specializes in comedy shows and freely provides access to them on YouTube, added 420.3 million weekly views during our most-recent measurement period. That was a slight decrease from last week’s total, but Sony SAB has now reached an impressive milestone by collecting 75 billion lifetime views.
Fourth place in this week’s Global Top 50 goes to Kids Diana Show. Thanks to the Ukraine-born child star at its center, the channel has received 416.6 million weekly views since our last charts. It too managed to move up one spot from its previous ranking.
The final channel in this week’s global top five is Like Nastya. The family vlog’s titular heroine, who was born in Russia but is based in Florida, led her content to 327.7 million weekly views.
Top Gainers
Before YouTube Shorts became such a big deal on YouTube, Sophia of KiddBeatz used her YouTube channel to compile her popular TikTok videos. Now, she’s found a much more lucrative use for the world’s most popular video platform.
KiddBeatz is a channel that combines beatboxing with a childlike presentation and a bright color palate (and I’m not just taking about Sophia’s blue hair). That formula works really well on YouTube Shorts, where many users are children who like bright colors and percussive noises.
The two most popular KiddBeatz videos on YouTube don’t even have any beatboxing. Sophia’s pouty demeanor and her love of candy help her connect with young viewers even though she is no whippersnapper herself. When beatboxing does show up, it is mixed with kid-friendly touchstones like Minecraft, Roblox, and (say it with me) sweets.
During the second week of April, KiddBeatz had its best-ever period of YouTube traffic. Sophia, along with her partner Roya Destroyaa, reeled in 138.4 million weekly views. That was good for a 33% week-over-week increase that pushed KiddBeatz up to 45th place in our Global Top 50.
Most of KiddBeatz’s lifetime YouTube viewership has come in the last two weeks, so this could be the start of something special for Sophia and co. The Canadian creator remains active on TikTok as well.
