16 channels in the Global Top 50 are based in the United States. That makes the star-spangled banner the most frequent flag in this week’s chart.

At the front of the ranking, however, India rules. The top two channels in the chart both hail from the South Asian nation, and at this point, you should know who #1 is.
April has arrived, and YouTube users are showering T-Series with views.
The Indian record label, which has long operated the most-watched channel on YouTube, continues to receive more traffic than any of its competitors. As the calendar turned over to April, T-Series picked up 727.4 million weekly views, which allowed it to remain firmly entrenched in the #1 spot in our Global Top 50.
In the runner-up position, we’re welcoming SET India back to our Global Top 50. After spending a few weeks outside of the ranking, the South Asian TV destination roared back to its usual heights by scoring 541.2 million weekly views. It also added enough new subscribers to surpass the 130 million mark in that category.
Of the 16 U.S.-based channels that secured spots in our latest U.S. Top 50, Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes received the most views. The kid-friendly animation channel had an uneven performance in March. On two occasions, another U.S.-based channel surpassed it; if you follow these charts, you know how rarely that occurs. In April, Cocomelon seems as if it’s back to its usual dominance. Its 509 million weekly views represented a 10% higher total than the one the channel posted seven days ago.
Sony SAB got 439.4 million weekly views and posted a fourth-place finish in the Global Top 50 for the second week in a row. The Indian content hub now has more than 65 million subscribers. That’s only half as many as its sister channel SET India, but its an audience only a few other destinations can match.
For the second straight week, Kids Diana Show rounds out our global top five. The U.S.-based family vlog notched 421.9 million weekly views over our latest seven-day measurement period.
It’s not often we see the sky-blue-and-gold standard of Kazakhstan in our Global Top 50, but YouTube Shorts is changing that.
Thanks to the popularity of YouTube’s TikTok competition, we’ve seen a great diversity of nations in our Tubefilter charts. In a week when Vietnam, Puerto Rico, and Argentina were all represented in the ranking, Elsa Arca‘s short-form content allowed her native Kazakhstan to snag a spot in the Top 50 as well.
Arca’s content is fully TikTok-ified. Her most-watched videos are dances and challenges, many of which originated on the ubiquitous short-form app. I can’t say I love the song that provides the soundtrack to the #1 video on Arca’s YouTube channel, but the clip itself is oddly mesmerizing. Perhaps that’s why it’s been watched more than 1.5 million times.
Overall, it was Arca’s most successful week on YouTube since she launched her channel in 2015. Her videos received 147.5 million weekly views, which was good for a 90% week-over-week increase that pushed her channel from 170th place in the world up to 39th.
And you know what’s even more impressive than that? I managed to make it through this entire discussion of Kazakhstan without making a Borat reference. Until now. Oops.
Here’s a breakdown of the Top 50 Most Viewed channels this week in terms of their countries of origin:
- United States: 16 channels in the Top 50.
- India: 14 channels in the Top 50.
- Pakistan: 4 channels in the Top 50.
- Canada, Russia, and Turkey: 2 channels in the Top 50.
- Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, and Vietnam: 1 channel each in the Top 50.
This week, 21 channels in the Top 50 are primarily active on YouTube Shorts.
