Four of the top five channels in this week’s Global Top 50 received less viewership than the week before, but even with that mass downturn, only one new channel was able to edge its way into the upper crust of our chart.

However, even with a lot of movement near the front of the ranking, the #1 channel in the Global Top 50 stayed the same. And you can probably guess the name of that channel.
Chart Toppers
Will T-Series ever give up its reign as the most-watched YouTube channel in the world? Not this week.
The Indian record label continues to dominate the global online video scene. Over the past seven days, it added 786.7 million weekly views to its lifetime total. No other channel was able to come within 200 million views of that total. T-Series’ lifetime viewership is now over 185 billion, which means its still on track to surpass 200 billion before the end of 2022.
Like Nastya, which finished fifth in last week’s global chart, moved up to second place in our latest count. The family vlog, which is currently based in the U.S., received 562 million weekly views. Even though that was less traffic than what the channel picked up a week ago, it was still a big enough total to drive a three-spot climb, which means other channels experienced more significant dips in their viewership during the third week of March.
So which channels suffered those dips? Well, Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes, for one. The California-based producer of animations still had an impressive seven-day total of 521.3 million weekly views, but that was 9% fewer views than it notched over our previous seven-day measurement period. Cocomelon is still the #3 channel in our Global Top 50, but it did fall out of the top spot in our U.S. Top 50.
The only channel in our global top five that got more viewership this week than it did seven days ago is Sony SAB. The Sony-owned hub, which delivers TV content to South Asian internet users, finished #3 in the Global Top 50 after it recorded 424.2 million weekly views. The channel has an outside shot at getting to 75 billion lifetime views before the end of the month.
Shorts Break rounds out this week’s global top five. It is the only channel in this week’s top five that gets the majority of its views on YouTube Shorts. Thanks to that platform, Shorts Break counted 380.8 million weekly views.
Top Gainers
If you look at the description of ZutiGang‘s most-watched YouTube video, you’ll see the creator’s plea for subscribers. As he told his fans at the time, he was on the “road to 1m” of them.
One year later, ZutiGang has gotten its one-millionth subscriber. And its two-millionth. And three and four and five. We don’t need to wonder what facilitated such explosive growth. YouTube Shorts is the answer.
ZutiGang is the YouTube home of Or Zuti, known for his presence on TikTok. At first, the ZutiGang YouTube page attracted attention thanks to reviews of TikTok hacks, but once YouTube Shorts came around, the channel’s focus changed. Now, when you look at ZutiGang’s most-watched videos, you’ll see a lot of practical jokes, including numerous iterations of the “falling box” prank seen below.
This video is the popular one I talked about at the start of this section, and its lifetime viewership — 246.9 million views and counting — is a big reason why ZutiGang sits in 49th place in our Global Top 50. The channel moved up 30 spots this week, with its viewership rising by 21% since our last Top 50. By receiving 157.4 million weekly views over seven days, ZutiGang brought its lifetime YouTube viewership above 6.5 billion.
So yeah. ZutiGang may have moved past the “road to 1m” subscribers, but the channel still has room to grow. 10 million subscribers certainly isn’t out of the question.
