SoleSavy, a Vancouver-based online sneaker startup, has named Ali Adab its first chief content officer.
Adab will lead SoleSavy’s content initiatives, web3 and NFT strategy, and work to secure partnerships with brands, creators, and media companies. He most recently served as VP of content and partnerships for multi-platform creator network BBTV, which is also based in Vancouver.
SoleSavy offers two services. SoleSavy Direct helps sneakerheads purchase shoes at retail using its proprietary technology and resources, including one-click ‘add-to-cart’ links, an autofill extension, and personalized drop alerts. Collect by SoleSavy, on the other hand, is a marketplace where members can buy, sell, and trade sneakers without extra fees. Collect is launching in coming months, and will not allow resellers to join.

“Ali’s deep understanding of content, creators, crypto, and community along with his passion for sneakers perfectly align with our global vision for the brand,” SoleSavy CEO Dejan Pralica said in a statement. “This year, we’re focused on launching new content offerings, our peer-to-peer marketplace for members, and continuing to grow our community.”
SoleSavy, founded in 2018, has raised over $14 million in venture funding to date.
