Riot Games Pacts With Soundtracking Service Slip.stream To Distribute Creator-Safe ‘League Of Legends’ Albums

Slip.stream, a music startup that sells a subscription service for digital creators looking to soundtrack their content, has entered into partnership with Riot Games.

The deal will see Slip.stream distributing Sessions: Diana, a new instrumental album from Riot Games’ League Of Legends franchise. The album is now available on all major music streaming services, and is available for free on the Slip.stream platform.

Diana, comprising 43 tracks from 25 artists inspired by nighttime creativity, marks the second Sessions album from Riot. Sessions are League-inspired music collections that can be used by creators in live streams and standard video content without fear of copyright concern. The partnership will also make Riot’s first League album compilation, Sessions: VI, available on Slip.stream as well.

“By providing a resource of music to use outside of the game, [Riot is] deepening the experience for their users,” Slip.stream co-CEO Dan Demole said in a statement. “It’s genius. We’re excited to deliver the Sessions music on Slip.stream to our users and help expand the already massive reach of the League Of Legends universe.”

Slip.stream has over 100,000 tracks and sound effects, with subscriptions starting at $8 per month. The company raised a $3.25 million seed round in August.
