A record label from the South Asian nation sits atop our latest chart, and many of its compatriots cracked the Top 50 as well. In total, 17 Indian channels are represented in this ranking.
Chart Toppers
T-Series is spending its third straight week in our global chart’s top spot. This time out, the competition wasn’t particularly close; T-Series ended up with 776 million weekly views, which was about 260 million more than anyone else. The Indian record label boasted a week-over-week viewership boost of 20%, and it is closing in on 200 million subscribers, which it should surpass before the end of November.
Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes, fresh off the $3 billion sale of its parent company, snagged the #2 spot in our latest global Top 50. During the first full week of November, the family-friendly American hub collected 515.5 million weekly views, making it the highest-ranking channel from its home nation.
Next up in our global Top 50 is MoniLina. Like many of the other YouTube Shorts channels that reach the upper echelons of our charts, MoniLina also has a strong presence on TikTok. On YouTube, the channel’s collection of pranks, weird foods, and other familial videos has received 495.4 million weekly views.
A few weeks after it reached the #1 position in this ranking, SET India has fallen back to fourth. The Sony-owned channel, which is connected to a TV station of the same name, registered 467.5 million weekly views in our most recent count. It is one of three channels in the top five to have at least 100 billion lifetime views.
Funny Family rounds out this week’s global top five. The short-form hub, which presents different challenges that are fun for kids and adults alike, started November on a good foot by adding 461.6 million weekly views to its lifetime total.
Top Gainers
We’ve written at length about the rise of moralistic content on platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Creators like Dhar Mann are receiving substantial viewership by releasing videos in which the kind-hearted always come out on top, the selfish eat their just desserts, and many life lessons are dispensed.
Torang Pasukan, a Vietnam-based channel with a big presence in this week’s global Top 50, combines that simple premise with the trappings of an action movie.
Torang Pasukan, like many Top 50 entrants, is popular on YouTube Shorts. One of its micro-videos has received more than 116 million views, and that clip tells us exactly what the channel is about. It presents a special effects-laden world in which cars that commit traffic violations meet explosive ends. Don’t run a red light, or your vehicle maybe be detonated by a rocket launcher.
Little videos like this one are quite fun, so it’s no surprise that Torang Pasukan is having a moment on YouTube. In our latest global Top 50, the channel reached 19th place. Its forward surge was powered by a week-over-week viewership increase of 56%, which brought its seven-day total up to 198.6 million weekly views. Torang Pasukan is closing in on one billion lifetime views, and it has a lot more left in the tank. This channel is on an explosive upward trajectory.
