FaZe Clan Inks Long-Term Brand Deal With McDonald’s To Highlight Diversity In Gaming

Gaming org FaZe Clan is ushering McDonald’s into esports in a major way with a long-term campaign that it says marks the gaming industry’s biggest deal to date with a fast-food chain.

The pact was announced on FaZe’s Twitter account in a trailer starring key members FaZe Rug, FaZe Adapt, FaZe Swagg, and the Nuke Squad (see below).

FaZe’s partnership with McDonald’s will comprise cross-platform content that spotlights inclusion in gaming, showcasing diverse stories of FaZe Clan members and the challenges that they have faced amid their ascent. Additional components of the partnership will be announced through the remainder of the year, FaZe says.

“At FaZe, we continue to move diversity and inclusion to the forefront of our priorities and are proud to partner with an iconic brand like McDonald’s who has paved the way,” FaZe Clan CEO Lee Trink said in a statement. “This is another example of FaZe expanding our brand beyond the gaming realm and we hope our fans enjoy the content that comes from this groundbreaking partnership.”

Other recent coups for FaZe include a foray into podcasts, a limited-edition merch collab with the illustrious artist Takashi Murakami, and an appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated, making it the first gaming org to do so.
