This week, the United States is well-represented in our worldwide ranking of the top 50 most-viewed channels on YouTube. More than 40% of the channels in the top 50 represent the stars and stripes (at least on their About tabs), though the channel that posted the highest viewership during the second week of July hails from India.

Recently, several channels specializing in short-form content have been able to pass T-Series in our weekly rankings, but the Indian record label and production company has returned to the perch it often occupies. During our most recent seven-day measurement period, T-Series accumulated 686.5 million weekly views, which was the highest total posted by a YouTube channel over that timespan.
LankyBox, a channel best known for its Roblox videos, leads the 21 U.S.-based channels that earned spots in our global top 50. The gaming hub, which utilizes both long-form and short-form formats, emerged as our worldwide runner-up thanks to its 544.4 million weekly views. That total was just enough to edge past another American channel, Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes, which settled for third place. The kid-friendly animation channel, which regularly finds its way into our charts, picked up 536.8 million weekly views in our latest count.
Among channels that exclusively specialize in short-form content, Tsuriki Show led the way. The Russian hub, which stars a couple who engage in all the usual TikTok hullabaloo, earned 519.5 million weekly views during the week of July 12. That made it one of only five channels to surpass the 500 million view threshold this week.
The last channel in this week’s 500 million view club is Sony SAB. The South Asian comedy hub, riding a 12% week-over-week traffic bump, accrued 519.3 million weekly views and reached fifth place in the world.
The growth of TikTok-style content on YouTube, which has been fueled by the launch and increased adoption of the YouTube Shorts platform, has allowed micro-media stars from around the world to gain a foothold on the world’s top video site. Viewers who live outside of South Korea might not be familiar with Won Jeong, but the twenty-something videomaker is a huge hit in his home country. Though he has established himself on TikTok, his content is now pulling in big viewership on YouTube as well.
On social media, Won Jeong uses the nickname Ox Zung, and a channel called Ox Zung Squad made an appearance in our global top 50 this week. The three-month-old hub has thrived by bringing its namesake star’s content to the YouTube audience. In the most popular video on Ox Zung Squad, Won Jeong pours himself a glass of water. The result? More than 58 million views.
During the week of June 12, Ox Zung Squad received 182.6 million weekly views. That was 26% more traffic than what the channel took in the week prior, and that increase boosted it from 44th place up to 30th. It was a big enough week to bring Ox Zung Squad above one billion lifetime views. We’ll be keeping our eye on Won Jeong in the months to come.

- Algeria, Argentina, Belarus, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Latvia, Pakistan, Romania, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates: 1 channel each in the Top 50.
