Night Media Signs Top ‘Minecraft’ YouTuber Aphmau (Exclusive)

Creator management company Night Media has signed Aphmau, a veteran Minecraft YouTuber whose channel brings more than 500 million views per month, for exclusive representation.

Aphmau (aka Jess Bravura) has been putting out 20-minute uploads nearly every day since launching her channel in 2012. A mom of four, she makes kid-friendly, storytelling-based content that follows her adventures in creative sandbox game Minecraft. The title has long been the most popular game on YouTube, but experienced a renaissance in 2019, and again in 2020 with the rise of buzzy collaborative creator effort Dream SMP.

“When you play Minecraft, eventually there’s a certain point where there’s only so much you can do. And so you make it entertaining by getting into these little roles and finding entertaining ways to tell stories,” Bravura tells Tubefilter. “I’ve always been into making my gameplay a little different and more unique and entertaining overall. When I started getting into storytelling, it was really nice to see so many people resonated with it, and I just continued that.”

At Night, Bravura–whose channel just hit 10 million subscribers last week–will be represented by Andrew Pelosi, the company’s head of business development. Pelosi tells Tubefilter that Night will work with Bravura to develop a range of products based on her YouTube presence.

Specific details are still under wraps, but Night aims to have Aphmau products “in every sort of aisle imaginable,” Pelosi says.

“On one end would be collectibles, I would say, and then on another end would be longer-form storytelling and things that can be fun for kids to have,” he says. “Aphmau is incredibly entrepreneurially minded and she’s excited to be able to celebrate the community that’s helped her get to where she is in ways that haven’t been explored yet.”

In a statement, Reed Duchscher, Night Media’s founder and CEO, added, “Aphmau serves as an inspiration to millions of young girls who want to create a path in entertainment. We’re excited to help take her business, community, and universe to the next level.”

Night’s roster also includes a number of other career creators, like MrBeast (63.9 million subscribers), ZHC (21.5M), Preston (15.6M), Matt Stonie (13.7M), Unspeakable (10.8M), Azzyland (13.3M), Typical Gamer (11.4M) and Carter Sharer (7.6M).
