Top Streamer Dr Disrespect To Release Comedic Memoir On March 30

Top playing battle royale streamer Guy ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm, who was banned from Twitch last summer under mysterious circumstances (and who currently streams on YouTube, where he counts 3.2 million subscribers), has unveiled the preorder for his debut memoir.

After announcing the project almost exactly one year ago, Violence. Speed. Momentum. — as the project is titled — is set to officially hit shelves on March 30.

The book is being billed as a memoir recounting the origin story of Beahm’s larger-than-life streaming persona — who typically appears on stream with his signature mullet, sunglasses, and tactical vest. According to the book’s official description, it will feature “the rhythm of a sleazy ’70s muscleman and the ruthlessness of a ’90s serial killer,” and recount “a journey that stares down the long, dark alley of your fears and never looks back.”

The 256-page tome is being published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Priced at $27, it is currently available for preoder in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. Furthermore, it is currently the No. 1 title in Amazon’s ‘Parody’ book category.

Beyond the book, Beahm’s Dr Disrespect character is clearly rife for artistic adaptation. He currently has a scripted — and potentially animated — television series based on the origin story of Dr Disrespect in the works as well. That venture is being developed in partnership with Skybound Entertainment, the production company founded by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.
