MrBeast is taking steps to expand his buzzy MrBeast Burger chain internationally.
The restaurant has arrived in Canada — including five locations in Toronto as well as others in Edmonton and Calgary, reports Daily Hive. Items are available for delivery via the proprietary MrBeast Burger app as well as delivery services including Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, and DoorDash. The menu is cooked out of the kitchens of existing establishments, enabling restaurants to open up new revenue streams — presumably a welcome boost amid the coronavirus pandemic.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, launched MrBeast Burger across 300 locations in the United States last December in collaboration with ghost kitchen startup Virtual Dining Concepts
. He has previously spoken about making the burgers available for his international viewers, as well as increasing the number of locations stateside.Daily Hive notes that Donaldson’s Canadian fans even launched a Change.org petition to bring MrBeast Burger to the great white north, which has nabbed roughly 400 signatures.
And Donaldson’s venture has inspired other influencers, too. Yesterday, noted prankster and activist Elijah Daniel unveiled his own virtual Gay Burger food brand, with all proceeds from the venture being handled by Daniel’s Cult For Good nonprofit and benefiting The Los Angeles LGBT Center.
