Welcome to TikTok Millionaires, where—in partnership with influencer marketing business Fanbytes—we profile creators who have crossed the one million subscriber mark on TikTok. Each week, we’ll chat with a newly minted Millionaire about their life, their content, and their creative goals for the days to come.
Capital Craig always wanted to try his hand at Vine. The app’s bite-size, quick-witted comedy content was exactly the kind of thing that appealed to him. But when Vine seemingly abruptly shuttered in 2017, he thought he’d lost his chance.
Then an ad for TikTok appeared on his Facebook feed.
“It looked to me like the new Vine, but a bigger and more exciting version,” he says. And this time, he didn’t hesitate: “As soon as I saw TikTok, I knew what I was going to do!”
He signed up in February 2019, posting humorous videos like this one about arguing with your partner and this one about dueting with a more-than-slightly-annoyed cat, and within a week, his fledgling account had over a thousand followers. It wasn’t until two months later, though, that Craig hit the app’s famed #foryou page with a video called 3 Things You Cannot Do. The key to that video’s success, Craig says, is that fellow TikTokers got stubborn. He told them three things they couldn’t do–count the hairs on your head, wash your eyeballs with soap, and breathe with your tongue out–and they wanted to prove that hey, yeah, they could do all those things, actually. The resulting ripple of content pushed views on his original video over a million (now up to 2.2 million), compared to the 222K and 307K his previous two videos had gotten, and kick-started his account’s growth.
In the year since 3 Things, Craig’s posted near daily videos, many of them featuring his equally comedic family members and friends, all of whom are a significant part of his personal brand. His account is up to 30.9 million likes–and, of course, more than one million followers.

Capital Craig: Hitting one million followers was an overwhelming feeling! I was more surprised than anything, as it’s a milestone I never thought I’d hit! When I hit one million, I posted a video with a big thank you message, and the support was incredible!
CC: I’m a Hampshire lad currently living in Dover, Kent. Before TikTok, I was working in security, completely different from what I’m doing now!
CC: I literally came across a video on Facebook advertising TikTok! It looked to me like the new Vine, but a bigger and more exciting version. When Vine was around, I never posted videos, but always wanted to. As soon as I saw TikTok, I knew what I was going to do!

CC: I didn’t start gaining a big following straightaway. I started slow, but within a week, I had 1K followers! For me, this was a big achievement, as it was all for a bit of fun! The video that helped me gain a bigger following overnight and which could be considered viral was a short original video called 3 Things You Can’t Do. This got viewers trying what I said in the video, only to end up looking silly! I knew it hit the #foryou page because it got 3 million views compared to my couple of thousand followers! Since then, my following has grown at a fast pace, which I’m incredibly grateful for! In one year, I managed to hit the one million milestone!
CC: TikTok is a platform that gives anyone the chance to make something of themself, regardless of experience. This in itself makes it unique and appealing, and that’s why I’m here, doing what I’m doing! With a growing number of celebrities using it, I think this also makes it very appealing to some people.
CC: I’ve done a small amount of collaborations so far, but will definitely be looking to collaborate more in the coming months! I do have a big one planned, but I can’t give that away just yet—it’s still still being sorted! But it’s big!
I’ve worked with brands and artists advertising songs and products, which is a huge compliment, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do so!
CC: TikTok for me is an everyday thing. Brainstorming and creating ideas is part of why it’s so enjoyable! I spend hours coming up with ideas sometimes, but it never gets boring! In my spare time, I hit the gym, spend time with the family, and watch videos for inspiration!
CC: Yes, definitely! There’s a handful of creators who inspire me to post and continue creating videos! Cristian, Aaron Crascall, and Croes, to name a few.

CC: I try to post a variety of videos. My main genre is comedy, but recently I’ve been trying new things! I’m experimenting with heartfelt stories, relatable everyday scenes, and other things! I’m trying to capture a bigger audience by branching out into new genres.
CC: My family is a huge part of why I do what I do! They love to get involved, and, of course, if I’m doing well, I want to see them achieving the same thing! My brand is me and my family, and that’s what I’m trying to get out there!
CC: What’s next for me? I’d love to push myself beyond my limits and try my hand in acting. I’m currently working on video reels and auditions, but it’s a difficult process. If I can achieve what I have so far, then nothing’s impossible!
