Beauty and lifestyle YouTuber Remi Cruz recently teamed up with Gillette to release the brand’s first-ever limited-edition razor handle. The handle is exclusively available through the holiday season from Gillette’s new subscription service, Venus Direct.
“When I first started the design process for my Venus x Remi limited-edition razor, I wanted to make sure that the bright colors and tropical flowers everyone is used to seeing in my videos really came through in the design,” Cruz, who has 3.6 million subscribers on YouTube across two channels, said in a statement.
With Venus Direct, customers choose a one-time-purchase handle (Cruz’s is $21), whatever blades they want, and how often a new set of blades will be automatically shipped to them — once per month, once every two months, or once every three months. All shipping is free.
This collab is far from Cruz’s first entry into the beauty space. She launched her own skin care brand, HoneyPop, earlier this year with a DIY face mask and acne treatment kit. And Cruz has explored other creative endeavors, too. In October, she kick-started the podcast Pretty Basic, co-hosted by her best friend and fellow creator Alisha Marie. It debuted at No. 1 on iTunes.
