Olan Rogers’ ‘Final Space’ Is Now Streaming Exclusively On VRV Ahead Of Second Season Premiere

Folks in the U.S. who want to catch up on YouTube creator Olan Rogers’ animated sci-fi series Final Space ahead of its second season can now do so exclusively on fandom streaming platform VRV.

The first four episodes of the TBS series, created by and starring Rogers — and produced by none other than Conan O’Brien — are available now, and successive episodes will release each Wednesday. (International viewers can currently catch Final Space in full on Netflix.)

Final Space chronicles the space-faring adventures of Gary (Rogers) who, while serving out a prison sentence alone on a ship, encounters a mysterious — and incredibly cute — lifeform he dubs “Mooncake.” Unfortunately for Gary, Mooncake is also a planet eater, and the sinister Lord Commander (David Tennant) is hunting him down for nefarious purposes. The series premiered back in February to impressive audience numbers and mixed reviews, and now holds a 70% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

TBS announced Final Space’s renewal in May, with an as-yet-unknown 2019 premiere date. And though he obviously can’t share too much, Galloway — who voices fan favorite Han Solo-esque character Avocato — tells Tubefilter

that fans should bask in season one for a bit before “the emotional wave that is Final Space comes crashing in.”

Galloway, a longtime friend of Rogers’ who was heavily involved in Avocato’s creation, says, “Everyone involved with the show has given every ounce of themselves to it. From the storyboard artists, writers, directors, all the producers, the wonderful marketing team and all at TBS. So much time and energy has been put into it, and I believe it shows.”

The 10 episodes of Final Space are joining more than 100,000 episodes of other series available on VRV, which is owned by WarnerMedia, the renamed media entity formed in the wake of AT&T‘s acquisition of Time Warner. (WarnerMedia also owns Otter Media, which in turn owns VRV.)

VRV’s content partners include Warner Bros.NBCUniversal, SyFy, El Rey/Univision, and MGM. The platform offers content aggregated from creators and other streaming services, including Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, HIDIVE, NickSplat, Cartoon Hangover, Shudder, Mondo, Geek & Sundry, Nerdist, CuriosityStream, and Boomerang.
