Fans of Meghan Rienks can now check her out in a new feature film. The social star, whose YouTube channel has more than 2.3 million subscribers and has received over 200 million views to date, has one of the leading roles in The Honor List, which is now available for download on VOD platforms like iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon.
In The Honor List, Rienks, Sasha Pieterse, Karrueche Tran, and Arden Cho portray four friends who make a list of things to do before they graduation. After one of them passes away, the surviving friends — though they have since drifted apart — reunite to cross off the remaining list items. A trailer for the film can be found on YouTube:
The Honor List, previously known as Honored, was announced last year
out of a partnership between Lionsgate, Popsugar Films, Cinestar Pictures, Untitled Entertainment, and Destro Films. Actress Zoe Saldana is one of the project’s executive producers, as are her sisters Cisely and Mariel. In order to promote The Honor List, Rienks brought on her castmate Pieterse as the first guest in the second season of her podcast Don’t Blame Me. In the episode, Rienks and Pieterse dispense advice to listeners, many of whom are teenage girls.
Beyond her role in The Honor List, Rienks is keeping busy with a number of off-YouTube projects. She recently launched Martie, a monthly subscription box. The first edition of the box, which is inspired by Rienks’ role in The Honor List, will ship two weeks after the film’s May 11 premiere.
The Honor List is available via iTunes, where it costs $7.99.
