TBS Is Bringing Back Olan Rogers’ ‘Final Space’ Series For A Second Season

Final Space, the TBS animated comedy created by YouTube star and indie filmmaker Olan Rogers, is coming back for even more intergalactic adventures.

TBS has renewed the series — which is produced by Conan O’Brien’s Conaco and noted digital studio New Form in association with Turner’s branded content firm, Studio T — for a second season. TBS tells Deadline that the first season of Final Space marked its youngest-skewing original series ever and reached more than 20 million viewers across linear, VOD, and digital distribution platforms. (The show premiered on Reddit 11 days prior to its TV debut, for instance, and an accompanying AR app was also made available).

Final Space follows an astronaut named Gary and his planet-destroying friend, Mooncake, who are on a quest to discover where the universe ends. Rogers co-wrote and executive produced the series, and also lent his voice to the project alongside Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen. Season two is slated to comprise 13 episodes, Rogers said on Twitter — up from 10 episodes in season one.
