People Are Awesome Finds Millions Of Views By Spotlighting ‘The Extraordinary’ People In Its Videos

In its videos, including the highly-trafficked compilations it releases once a year, the People Are Awesome brand showcases the talents of athletes, performers, and stuntpeople who are capable of pulling off astounding physical feats. While watching those videos, it is natural to wonder who these people are, and what internal chemistry has led them up to this point.

Enter The Extraordinary. People Are Awesome’s newest web series, which is stylized as The E/O and is a few days shy of two months old, is a documentary project that profiles the individuals who appear within People Are Awesome content. Four episodes have rolled out thus far, and they’ve made a mark among the brand’s audience. According to Jukin Media, which has owned People Are Awesome since 2015The E/O has averaged about 2.5 million views per installment across YouTube and Facebook.

The first episode of The E/O arrived back in March. It featured Justice Hedenberg, a freerunner, skateboarder, and gymnast from Vermont:

The success of The E/O should come as little surprise given the popularity of People Are Awesome’s social channels. On YouTube, the brand has received more than 500 million views on its official channel and counts more than 2.4 million subscribers. Its following on Facebook is even more impressive. Thanks in large part to a few massive surges driven by its compilations, it has more than 20 million fans. It is the People Are Awesome Facebook audience that has contributed the majority of The E/O‘s viewership thus far.

If you’d like to be featured on People Are Awesome (and, perhaps, the subject of a future episode of The E/O), you can submit a video to the channel via its website.
