YouTube Star Mindy McKnight’s New Family-Friendly Channel Helps Kids Express Their Emotions

Mindy McKnight is encouraging young children to embrace their emotions. The YouTube star’s six-month-old channel, UniLand Kids, is the home of The Feels, a new series that features visual representations of common feelings.

The Feels, which is UniLand’s latest original series, is animated in a simple, colorful style. Each episode explores a specific emotion by giving examples of how it manifests and explaining how it affects people. The goal is to allow children to connect their own emotions to those in the show, thus allowing them to better refer to their feelings in the future. The premiere episode begins on a positive note by talking about happiness:

McKnight, who is best known as the woman behind the Cute Girls Hairstyles channel, launched UniLand last year alongside KonRob and Select Entertainment and Ventures. The goal of the partnership was to create a digital destination that ensured safe, age-appropriate content for YouTube’s youngest viewers. Just six months after it launched its first video, UniLand has already attracted a sizable audience of more than 76,000 subscribers.

While she herself has a significant digital presence, McKnight is also known as the mother of six children, several of whom are YouTube stars in their own right. Her twin daughters Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight are two of YouTube’s most popular vloggers, boasting close to five million subscribers on their shared channel.
