YouTube Comedian-Turned-TV Star Stevie Ryan Commits Suicide At Age 33

YouTube star-turned-VH1 host Stevie Ryan died on Saturday. The 33-year-old committed suicide by hanging at her Los Angeles residence, according to the coroner’s office.

Ryan initially gained notoriety for her Little Loca YouTube series — which she launched all the way back in 2006 — as well as her celebrity impersonations, People reports. She then transitioned to television as the star of Stevie TV, a VH1 sketch comedy series, and was subsequently the co-host of Brody Jenner’s E! talkshow Sex With Brody. Most recently, Ryan hosted a podcast about depression titled Mentally Ch(ill), where she revealed last Thursday that her grandfather had passed way.

“I’m just worried that this is going to send me into a deeper depression,” Ryan said on the podcast, per People, which added that she also discussed suicide during the episode with co-host Kristin Carney.
