Former Apple Exec Dave Dickman Joins Influencer Marketing Platform Reelio As President

Reelio has hired a new leader to help the company build on its expertise of connecting digital creators with branded content opportunities. The influencer marketing platform welcomed Dave Dickman as Reelio’s new President.

In his new role, Dickman will be in charge of Reelio’s sales and marketing initiatives around the world. The new president brings over 30 years of experience to his new job at Reelio. Dickman previously handled global sales for Apple’s digital and mobile in-app advertising platform iAd. Reelio’s president also held sales, marketing, and digital media roles at Disney and Warner Bros.

Dickman will work out of Reelio’s newly-established Santa Monica location, helping oversee the company’s expansion on the West Coast. Reelio CEO and Co-Founder Pete Borum said in a release the new location near Los Angeles will help the company “better serve the content creators, networks, top brands and agency partners that rely on our technology and expertise.”

“Dave has seen tremendous success overseeing global sales and marketing at some of the world’s most elite and admired media and technology companies,” said Borum. “His decision to leave that world and come work with us at Reelio serves as tremendous validation that the advertising and entertainment industries are undergoing a fundamental transformation and that Reelio is well-positioned to capitalize on that opportunity.”

“Reelio has made incredible strides building a unique technology platform and offering tools for its incredible roster of advertising and brand partners looking to connect with today’s digital influencers. Our office in Los Angeles allows us to have a stronger connection with content partners, since we are in the hub of talent, innovation and content creation,” added Dickman. “I’m excited to help lead Reelio through its next phases of growth and continue building the leading influencer marketing platform worldwide.”

Reelio recently closed a $5 million Series A round, led by both previous investors and a group of global investors. The company currently has a user base of 10,000+ creators.
