The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences is one step closer to presenting the 19th annual Webby Awards. The organization has announced the nominees for the 2015 Awards show, including some of today’s top digital video celebrities like Michelle Phan and Tyler Oakley.
This year’s Webby Awards received over 13,000 entries from all U.S. states, as well as from more than 60 countries across the world. From these submissions, the online video realm received some solid recognition. Phan and Oakley were nominated for their work on their YouTube channels, while the Fine Bros. were nominated for their Kids React web series. Sites like CollegeHumor and Funny or Die received multiple nominations for individual video productions, like Zach Galifianakis’s interview with President Obama on Between Two Ferns.
The 19th annual Webby Awards boasts an impressive roster of judges from the Academy. Comedian Conan O’Brien, Video Game High School creator Freddie Wong, The Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, Tumblr founder David Karp, inventor Vint Cerf, and DoSomething.org founder Nancy Lublin will select this year’s Webby winners. Internet users can also vote for their favorite nominees for the Webby People’s Voice Awards. Voting is open at pv.webbyawards.com until April 23, 2015 at 11:59 PM PST/2:59 AM EST.

Winners of the 2015 Webby Awards will be announced on April 27, followed by a ceremony on May 18 hosted by actor Hannibal Buress. You’ll be able to watch the Awards on demand on May 19 via the event’s official website, and highlights will be featured on the Webby Awards YouTube channel.
