Here Are 2014’s Big News Stories Condensed Into A One-Minute Animation

2015 is underway, but there are still plenty of engaging wrap-up videos from the previous year that deserve to be shared. Among the trending 2014 recaps is a minute-along video from FOX‘s Animation Domination channel, in which the major news stories of the year are summed up in a colorful collage.

The video tackles the most significant stories of the past 12 months, including the West African Ebola outbreak, the protests sparked by the shooting of Michael Brown, and, of course, Kim Kardashian’s rear end. Since Animation Domination is aimed at the same audience that enjoys programming on Adult Swim, there are also several unsurprising references to the continued legalization of marijuana across the US.

The programming on the Animation Domination YouTube channel relates to Animation Domination High-Def, a late-night block of animated programs for adult that aired on FOX between 2013 and 2014. The “High-Def Shorts” included in the block have now been limited to the Internet; in addition to YouTube, they can be viewed on Hulu, which is partially owned by FOX.

The “2014 in One Minute” video is a quick hitter, but it does a good job of encapsulating the previous year in sixty seconds. Check it out if, like me, you spent the past 12 months watching videos and need a reminder of the year’s top stories.
