Top 50 Most Viewed U.S. YouTube Channels • Week Of 7/18/14

Shakira is back up at the top of the charts. The international pop star’s World Cup 2014 anthem, “La La La” is still getting plays online despite the fact the World Cup already concluded. Her YouTube channel’s weekly view count is up 11% on the week and topped out at more than 59.4 million views.

DisneyCollectorBR took home the #2 spot in the U.S. this week. The online video collection of adults showcasing and playing with toys meant for kids in Pre-K racked up over 57.4 million views in the last seven days. Enrique Iglesias is up next in third place. Despite no major releases since his mega hit “Bailando“, the Spanish singer-songwriter, actor, and record producer’s YouTube channel received nearly 40.5 million views. Holding strong in the #4 spot is Katy Perry. Like Iglesias, Perry hasn’t had any major releases in the past several weeks, but her online video catalog continues to receive millions of plays. Her YouTube channel ended the week with nearly 39.9 million views.

And rounding out the Top 5 is Pitbull. Mr. 305 turned Mr. Worldwide’s lascivious lyric video for his new single “Como Yo Le Doy” helped give his channel a 1% bump to end the week with more than 39 million views.

Top Gainers

The honor of one of our Top Gainers this week goes to The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

NBC’s flagship late night television talk show produced yet another viral video hit this week when Fallon and guest Halle Berry showed the world how they roll. The clip quickly received a seven-figure view count and helped to lift The Tonight Show‘s YouTube up 164% on the week. All in all, Fallon’s online video outpost ended the week in the #9 spot in the US with nearly 28.1 million views.

Channel Distribution

The top 50 most viewed U.S. YouTube channels this week amassed a total of 1,132,447,658 views. Here’s the distribution of those channels by multi-channel network:

VEVO: 17 channels in the U.S. Top 50, with Shakira topping out at #1.
Fullscreen, Maker Studios: 3 channels each in the Top 50, with Fullscreen’s TheFineBros at #6 and Maker’s Epic Rap Battles of History at #17..
DEFY Media, Movieclips, WMG: 2 channels each the Top 50, with Defy’s Smosh at #13, Movieclips’ MovieclipsTrailers at #11, and WMG’s Jason Derulo at #12.
