RedLever Acquires 'Bunco Moms', 'One-on-One With John Salley'

RedLever, the branded entertainment production company who you may remember from the TRESemmé-branded The Shop Girls of Madison Lane, announced today that they’re picking up the rights to two new web series – Bunco Moms and One-on-One With John Salley. This means that they’ll be handling production and distribution for both series as well as looking for sponsorship.

Bunco Moms, which was acquired from WolfHaus Media, LLC, takes a look at the recent resurfacing of Bunco, a dice game that originated in England and last swept the United States during Prohibition. Now it’s a game for suburban moms to bond around as they host themed parties (the Bunco Moms trailer shows that the theme of the evening is “Chinese” – check it out if you want to see a bunch of middle-aged white ladies do Chinese worse than Panda Express), have a drink or three, and socialize around a dice game that requires no skill whatsoever. If you’ve never heard about it, this show might just be your thing – here’s a Washington Post article on the Bunco upswing

One-on-One With John Salley is an interview show hosted by, well, retired basketball player and four-time NBA champion John Salley. It looks like Salley has stayed active since retiring — he seems to show up all over the place — so doing a web show with celebrities in sports, film, music, etc. doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch. Personally, I preferred House Arrest With Andy Dick but seeing as Andy Dick is (hopefully) not on house arrest any longer, I’ll watch One-on-One With John Salley to scratch my celebrity itch.

Alas, there is no word yet on production details, let alone a premiere, but we’ll let you know as soon as we can dig it up.
