'Pillow Talks' Hits The Lighter Side of Bedroom Banter

The strangest conversations always happen in the bedroom. That’s the premise behind Chicago-based film production company Escape Films’ latest web series, Pillow Talks.

Produced and directed by Boris Wexler and written by Wexler, Elaine Tuman and Paul Peditto, Pillow Talks charts all the intimately humorous discussions that go on when two people tuck themselves in. “Keeper” starts off as an awkward post-coital chat and ends up waxing poetic about Aishwarya Rai, “How Fat” (above) sees a gay couple going through a classic hypothetical scenario, and “Personals” explores the ways a mother can show her love for her son (get your mind out of the gutter), for starts. The cast is exclusively composed of local Chicago talent, so Windy City residents might see a familiar face somewhere

“Chicago has a tremendous pool of talent, especially character actors, so finding the cast and working with them has been one of the highlights of this project”, noted Wexler. Local faves like Whit Spurgeon, Howie Johnson and Marty Shannon, Usman Ally and Kate Henley highlight the 13-actor cast.

There are currently six episodes available on their website, with new ones being added every Thursday. While production has currently halted, they’re aiming to pick up again in March. If you’ve finished watching all the episodes and you’re craving more, go ahead and stop by the Pillow Talks forums to leave them some feedback, chat with other fans of the show, and leave them a couple of your own episode ideas. As of this writing, there is a grand total of zero posts in the Episode Ideas forum so I imagine if you put up a decent concept there’s a good shot it’ll get made.
