When I commented in an earlier post that the new Late Night with Jimmy Fallon was likely to use digital media as a “cornerstone of audience building and engagement,” Executive Producer Gavin Purcell quickly chimed in that I was “exactly right.”
Strutting his new media savvy again, the next likely Late Night sensation has just appeared before one of the Internet’s most rabid followings. You got it, Diggnation…
The show’s first “official guest” was well played by both parties. Nice rapport between Fallon, Alex Albrech and Kevin Rose – guys who clearly have chemistry, if not a long history – and the signature causal Diggnation banter about all things tech.
Fallon fits in on Diggnation like a charm, and the army of fans/consultants that he’ll pick up as he begins to craft the feel of his new show will be invaluable.
