One would think a web series centered around the mixing of drinks and those who mix them would get a bit tedious. But maybe things will be interesting considering there’s $100,000 on the line for the winning mixologist:
Err…maybe not.
The alcoholic affair is hosted by a man whose been romantically linked to N Sync’s Lance Bass, nightlife impresario, Pedro Andrade, and set in the Las Vegas. 10 bartending contestants will bartend-it-out each episode – in the end only one will be left standing. Going by the tried-and-testing, and not very original American Idol
and Last Comic Standing model, the contestants will be evaluated by a panel of three judges: LXTV‘s Cecile Raubenheimer, night-lifer and model Fabrizio Brienza, and Vegas casting director Gregory Filler.Pitted against each other, the bartenders will face a variety of weekly challenges in order to wield a winner, which include a combination of one or more of the following: $100 cocktail, matchmaking, flair bartending, pool parties, breaking the ice, and the tipping point.
Bartenders, ego, and $100K doesn’t prove to be too intoxicating of a combination, but if you’re a fan of bad, competitive, reality programs on television, maybe you’ll like this bad, competitive, reality program on the web. Check it out at LXTV.com.
