ESPN Lets You Embed Videos…Finally

I still can’t watch the flashy, fluid, user-friendly, live video offered by ESPN 360 due to financial agreements that the ABC-owned “Worldwide Leader in Sports” has with various Internet Service Providers – which may or may not

compromise the idea of Net Neutrality – but at least now I can embed clips around the web from the recently improved ESPN.com. ###

Just over a month after MTV finally allowed its viewers to embed its videos, ESPN gets wise to the idea that its content on external websites will most definitely draw traffic back to ESPN.com and enhance the network’s presence on the web. Not all the clips on the site are embeddable, but it’s a decent start.

Now any Cheesehead with a web page can show some interview footage after Brett Favre broke the TD record, and any Yankee fan with a self-respecting blog can add a video supplement of a sad-eyed Willie Randolph when lamenting the postseason of New York’s other baseball team.
