Since our launch a few weeks ago, new sites have launched, overlooked networks were noticed by our writers, and French music vlogs were featured by Screens in the Times. So here’s a list of some of the more interesting sites recently added to the Tilzy.TV listings. Check out our favorites below:
The New Adventures of Captain S. A combination of “Saved by the Bell” and Pure Pwnage, the escapades of Captain S and the S-Team learn important life lessons in this bimonthly series about a high school jock who gets so into his video games that he actually physically gets into them. His rival, the nefarious NES (Nigel Edmund Silverman), battles him in virtual combat on his magical Sega console. Watch the latest episode, “Zombies Ate My Homeroom,” on The New Adventures of Captain S. (More info here.)
G4 TV. The famous men’s interest channel that evolved from TechTV as a gamer network and eventually came to be known for wet models rollicking about while giggling and video features on movies starring Will Ferrell and various Wilson brothers received an overdue summary on Tilzy.TV. (More info here.)
Take Away Shows. French music blog Blogotheque‘s catalog of live and uncut recordings gained some Stateside acknowledgment this week when Virginia Heffernan’s Times feature Screens covered its splendors. With two artists serving as creators and videographers, the vlog series take raw concert footage from acts like Arcade Fire, the Shins, and Malajube is like the French lovechild of Fabchannel and Real Fresh TV.
