Venerable ancestor of the fake news zeitgeist The Onion launched Onion News Network yesterday. Its like a harmonious medley of Daily Show interviews and Fox News jumbled together and made all the more ridiculous. The site is ad-supported and features original broadcast news clips ranging in length from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, even though the site explains that it has set the standard for globe-encompassing 24-hour television news since it was founded in December, 1892. The site further boasts that its news is faster, harder, scarier, and all-knowing.
