FilmRise is taking YouTubers to TV (Exclusive)

A dozen top YouTubers are taking their content to TV with FilmRise.

Sam and Colby (9.7 million subscribers), UnspeakablePlays (7.5M), PrestonGamez (3.4M), LazarBeam (20M), jschlatt (3.9M), That Chapter (1.8M), TheWhyFiles (2.1M), Kendall Rae (3.5M), ShanePlays (1.9M), I did a thing (4.4M), and Hyper (2.4M) have partnered with the Brooklyn-based film/TV studio to repackage their content in TV show form and distribute it across various FAST, AVOD, SVOD, and pay TV channels.

FilmRise, which was founded in 2012 by longtime producers and financiers Danny Fisher, Jack Fisher, and Alan Klingenstein, tells Tubefilter these deals are part of its creator partner program’s expansion into gaming and true crime content.

It’s been building the partner program since 2021, distributing content from creators like Guga Foods

, Azzyland, Scuba Jake, Brave Wilderness, Uncle Roger, Rooster Teeth, and Brianna Arsement.

It also previously did deals with Preston and Unspeakable; their new agreements specifically cover gaming content.

“With this announcement, it is clear that the world’s top creators have come to recognize FilmRise as a leader in streaming platform distribution with our unmatched global audience reach and curation, marketing and promotional support,” Max Einhorn, FilmRise’s SVP of Acquisitions and Co-Productions, said in a statement.

The first shows to premiere from these partnerships include gaming-focused UnspeakablePlays and true crime/paranormal investigation-focused That Chapter and Sam and Colby. They’ll debut later this summer.
