One True King, the streamer collective known as OTK, is adding new members and teasing upcoming programs. In a shareholder meeting streamed live on Twitch, OTK announced that Emiru has joined its ownership team.
Emiru’s Twitch broadcasts reach more than 1.1 million followers, making her one of the most-watched women on the platform. She joined OTK’s roster of content creators at the start of 2022. In her new position, she will link up with an ownership team that already includes prominent streamers like Asmongold, Esfand, and Sodapoppin.
As OTK promotes one of its partner creators, it is onboarding another. ExtraEmily, known for her Just Chatting and IRL streams, is joining the Austin-based org. She had previously appeared as a contestant on OTK game shows. “I’m so excited to be the newest member of OTK,” ExtraEmily said in a statement. “I’m grateful to join an organization where I feel like I’m surrounded by friends and people that genuinely care about me.”

In her first year as an OTK creator, ExtraEmily will co-produce a new game show. Wheel of Chaos will ask its participants to “spin to win” when it premieres in April. In total, OTK has 15 content initiatives on the docket for 2023, including a community film festival, and IRL edition of Sodapoppin’s Trash Talk contest, and an indie game expo curated by Asmongold.
OTK is providing more opportunities for its female creators as it deals with the blowback from a sexual misconduct scandal. Mizkif, one of the org’s founding members, was criticized for his flippant response to allegations against his friend and roommate CrazySlick. As a result of his “lack of empathy and ignorance,” Mizkif was booted from the OTK board.
One of OTK’s 2023 initiatives will look to provide more visibility for creators who lack “the same level of access or opportunity” as their colleagues. The OTK Impact program will include creator spotlights and investments in content technology, with a stated goal of sharing “our stage and resources in a way that brings thoughtful development to the creator economy.”
All of these announcements came during OTK’s stakeholder meeting, which streamed on Sodapoppin’s Twitch channel. Since the streamer outfit is not publicly traded, it isn’t required to disclose its income and assets. Instead, its members delivered a wave of updates while also satirizing tech industry presentations. Sodapoppin kicked off the broadcast by dressing up as Steve Jobs and delivering a word-for-word reenactment of the Apple founder’s original iPhone announcement.
