Patreon Pacts With Vimeo, Peerspace, Stride To Provide Discounted Services For Creators

Patreon has launched a Partner Services Directory that it says will act as a human resources team for creators to help them manage the nuts and bolts of their businesses — like purchasing healthcare, establishing a 401k, and providing other professional tools.

To this end, Patreon has forged partnerships with Peerspace, which rents workspaces and unique production locations; video platform Vimeo; and tax app Stride. Peerspace will offer Patreon creators a 10% discount (up to $50), Vimeo will give creators 15% off their first year of membership with a checkout code, and Stride will give Patreon creators who file their taxes online a $30 discount. The Partner Services Directory is a free-to-browse public resource, Patreon notes, though the deals are forged with creators in mind.

Other companies participating in the Partner Services Directory, which you can check out in full right here, include the Internet Creators Guild, Shopify, Streamlabs, and Webtoons. The Directory marks Patreon’s latest initiative for creators following the February launch of Lens, which enables users to send short, disappearing ‘Stories’ — on both mobile and desktop devices — to their supporters.

“By building creator-first partnerships, we can help you gain access to the resources you need for a long-term career,” product marketing specialist Christine Donaldson wrote in a company blog post. “We hope that you find our directory helpful and we look forward to growing our network of partners who support you and your creative work.”
