Big Think Explores The “Genius” Of Arianna Huffington, Bill Nye, Others With New Web Series

Big Think is investigating what it means to be a genius. The online video network that focuses on expert-led educational videos has created a series of interviews with some of the world’s greatest thought leaders to explore the theory of genius.

Big Think’s series is part of the 7 Days of Genius Festival from March 1 through 8 hosted by 92nd Street Y (92Y), a non-profit cultural and community center in New York City focusing on education, the arts, and well-being. The first Big Think video profiles The Huffington Post co-founder and editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington, who discusses how mindfulness became a key element in her life and how it could play a role in the lives of geniuses.

Future guests will include scientist and actor Bill Nye (who’s no stranger to the online video world himself), neuroscientist Heather Berlin, journalist Jack Roper, science writer and blogger Carl Zimmer, and professor of Psychiatry and Neurobiology at Yale School of Medicine Joy Hirsch. Big Think’s video series was filmed at the recently-opened YouTube Space New York.

“Genius is defined as exceptional intellectual or creative power and to hear great minds such as Arianna Huffington and Bill Nye explore what genius means to them will be fascinating,” said Peter Hopkins, Co-Founder and President of Big Think, in a release. “We are excited to partner with 92Y on 7 Days of Genius and share innovative and influential ideas with our audience.”

“92Y is proud to host conversations with some of the best minds of our generation, and through festivals like 7 Days of Genius and partnerships like this one with Big Think, we are increasingly able to share those discussions and spark new ones, engaging an ever growing community in the world of ideas,” said Henry Timms, 92Y’s Executive Director.

You can watch each expert interview from Big Think exclusively on the network’s dedicated YouTube channel.
