Top 100 Most Viewed YouTube Channels Worldwide • January 2015

DisneyCollectorBR is still in the #1 spot this month with an even more massive view count than usual. The internet’s go-to destination for videos of adults unboxing and playing with children’s toys witnessed a very impressive 25% month-over-month increase in views to top out at nearly 517.3 million of them. Almost 100 million views behind in second place is Felix Kjellberg‘s PewDiePie channel. The twentysomething Swede’s prolific online video library of Let’s Play videos saw a 7% bump in views and scored just shy of 417.9 million views during the month.

Taylor Swift is once again in third place. The country-turned-pop star’s music video library’s view count stayed relatively constant, ending the 31 days of January with an additional 361.3 million views. Next up in the #4 spot is GetMovies. The online video channel filled with Russian cartoons for kids shot up 63% in views this month to top out at nearly 359.5 million views.

And rounding out the Top 5 is a music video channel targeting a very young demographic. LittleBabyBum and its repository of classic songs for your kids received more than 302.1 million views in the month.

Top Gainers

The honor of one our Top Gainers this month goes to iloveMayThing.

The YouTube channel that’s home to Hulyan Maya and her son, daughter, and husband’s family fun time and vacation videos witnessed a 65% month-over-month increase in views. The Maya Clan’s growing library of videos featuring toy trains, rideable toy cars and motorcycles for kids, and more closed out January with more than 95.8 million views and the the #72 spot in the world.

The Top 100 Most Viewed YouTube channels this month amassed in aggregate a total of 14,727,009,650 views. Here’s a look at the distribution of those channels broken down by the most-represented YouTube Multi-Channel Networks on the chart:

• VEVO: 21 channels in the Top 100. Taylor Swift is the network’s highest ranking channel at #3.
• Maker Studios: 15 channels in the Top 100, with PewDiePie at #2.
• XMediaDigital: 4 channels in the Top 100, with GetMovies at #4.
• Machinima: 3 channels in the Top 100, with VanossGaming at #23.
• BuzzFeed, Fullscreen, WMG: 2 channels each in the Top 100, with BuzzFeed’s BuzzFeed video at #10, Fullscreen’s PopularMMOs at #7, and WMG’s Ed Sheeran at #35.
