Connor Franta will soon be joining fellow YouTube vlogger Troye Sivan in the Land Down Under. The two digital stars, boasting over 7.3 million subscribers between their two channels, are set to headline the Amplify 2015 festival in Sivan’s native country of Australia.
Created in partnership with live event management company Nine Live, Amplify features music and comedy performances from some of the internet’s top personalities from Australia and New Zealand. Sivan and Franta join several other Aussies and Kiwi digital stars also appearing at Amplify, including Jamie Curry (aka Jamie’s World), Kimmi Smiles, Tyde Levi, Jai Waetford, Shani Grimmond, Kurt Coleman, and Smallzy.
“This new breed of superstars are some of the most driven and innovative entrepreneurs I have had the pleasure of working with, and I am excited to bring these artists together with their fans in a dynamic and fun environment,” said Geoff Jones, Nine Live’s CEO, in the release.

Tom Maynard and Haydan Parker, co-creators of Amplify, added, “This tour, and our partnership with Nine Live, further highlight the huge demand for live events in the new media space, and gives these already highly connected artists an outlet to reach an audience that would not ordinarily be able to meet them. Amplify is just one of many live events that have popped up over the last few years to facilitate bringing online celebrities into real-world spaces. Back in May 2014, Ryan Seacrest and Advance Publications (the parent company of Conde Nast) invested in the live, social media-themed event DigiTour. This year, the event hopes to double the amount of shows it hosted compared to 2014. Online video fans can also see their favorite digital stars at similar live events like VidCon, PlayList Live, and Fullscreen’s INTOUR.
