At Playlist Live, thanks to a partnership with three popular YouTube content creators, StarMaker will live up to its name. The social music app has teamed with Lia Marie Johnson, Alex G, and Tessa Violet for a contest that will ultimately bring talented fans onstage alongside their favorite creators.
The contest asks fans of these three musicians to record cover versions of each participating YouTuber’s original songs. Ultimately, three winners will be selected, and those winners will join Johnson, Alex G, and Violet at Playlist Live, which begins February 6th in Orlando.
In order to submit their covers, fans must utilize the StarMaker app, which lets users sing along to their favorite songs. As these songs are uploaded online, the StarMaker website has launched a list of the most popular covers. This version of Tessa Violet’s “Sorry I’m Not Sorry” is, at the time of this post, sitting in the #2 spot:

While there are already a number of strong contenders vying for the three top prizes (and a plethora of other rewards contained within the contest), there is still time for more entries to be submitted. The competition will be open until February 8th, and the winners will be revealed on Sunday, February 9th, at Playlist Live.
Lia Marie Johnson, Alex G, and Tessa Violet–who combine to count more than 3.8 million subscribers–are three of the dozens of creators who will flock to Orlando for this year’s edition of Playlist Live.
